ભારતીય સમાજમાં પ્રાચીન કાળથી છોકરીને અભિશાપ માનવામાં આવે છે. પણ વાસ્તવમાં આપણે આપણા મનથી વિચારીએ તો ખ્યાલ આવે કે એક બાળક પરિવાર માટે કેવી રીતે અભિશાપ બની શકે? જવાબ ખૂબ જ સ્પષ્ટ છે અને તે હકીકતથી ભરેલો છે કે છોકરી વિના કોઈ છોકરો પૃથ્વી પર જન્મ લઈ શકતો નથી. તો પછી લોકો મહિલાઓ અને છોકરીઓ પર આટલી બધી હિંસા કેમ કરે છે? તેઓ માતાના ગર્ભમાં જન્મતા પહેલા જ છોકરીઓને કેમ મારી નાખવા માગે છે? લોકો શા માટે બળાત્કાર કરે છે, ઘર, શાળા, કાર્યસ્થળ, જાહેર સ્થળ વગેરેમાં છોકરીઓ અને મહિલાઓની જાતીય સતામણી કરે છે.

તે ખૂબ જ સ્પષ્ટ છે કે બાળક પરિવાર માટે આશીર્વાદ બની જાય છે અને આ દુનિયામાં જીવન ચાલુ રાખવાનું કારણ બને છે. આપણે જુદા જુદા તહેવારો પર અનેક દેવતાઓની પૂજા કરીએ છીએ. ખરેખર તો છોકરીઓ સમાજનો આધારસ્તંભ છે. નાની છોકરીનું બાળક ભવિષ્યમાં સારી દીકરી, સારી બહેન, સારી મિત્ર, સારી પત્ની કે માતા બની શકે છે.

આજકાલ, મહિલાઓ ઘરની જવાબદારીઓ સાથે પુરૂષો સાથે તેમના ખભા પર કામ કરી રહી છે.

એકવાર ભારતના વડા પ્રધાને તેમના ભાષણમાં કહ્યું હતું કે તેઓ આપણી સામે ભિખારી છે. તેમણે બેટી બચાવો બેટી પઢાઓ યોજના શરૂ કરી છે. સ્ત્રી ભ્રૂણ હત્યા તેમજ શિક્ષણ દ્વારા સ્ત્રી સશક્તિકરણ સામે મહિલાઓમાં જાગૃતિ ફેલાવવાના આશયથી આ અભિયાનની શરૂઆત કરવામાં આવી હતી. આ શબ્દો આપણા વડાપ્રધાને કહ્યા:-

"દેશના વડાપ્રધાન પાસે માંગ છે કે તમે બાળકનો જીવ બચાવો"

છોકરીઓ છોકરાઓ કરતાં વધુ સારું પ્રદર્શન કરે છે. જો તમને સાબિતી મળે છે, તો તમે તમારા બંનેના વાર્ષિક પ્રગતિ કાર્ડ જોઈ શકો છો.

લોકોને ભણેલી વહુ જોઈએ છે પણ દીકરી બનવા નથી માગતી

ભારત એક એવો દેશ છે જ્યાં મહિલાઓને સારી ગણીને પૂજવામાં આવે છે અને તે જ દેશમાં મહિલાઓ સામેના ગુનાનો દર સૌથી વધુ છે. જાતીય સતામણીના કેટલાક ગુનાઓ બળાત્કાર, દહેજની હત્યા વગેરે.

આ સમાજ આપણા સમાજમાં અંધશ્રદ્ધાને કારણે હોઈ શકે છે. પરંતુ તે બંધ થવું જોઈએ. આને રોકવા માટે સરકારે વધુ નીતિઓ વધારવી જોઈએ.

બાળકીને તેની માતાના ગર્ભમાં કોઈ પણ પ્રકારની ભૂલ કર્યા વગર મારી નાખવામાં આવી રહી છે. એ છોકરીની કોઈ ભૂલ નથી. તે ફક્ત આપણી માનસિકતાની ભૂલ છે.

ભારતમાં ગુનાહિત ગુનાઓ પછી પણ લિંગ નિર્ધારણ અને લિંગ પસંદગી લોકો દ્વારા કરવામાં આવે છે. આખા દેશમાં તેનો મોટો ધંધો રહ્યો છે. છોકરીઓ પણ છોકરાઓની જેમ સમાજમાં સમાનતાનો મૂળભૂત અધિકાર છે. દેશમાં છોકરીઓની સંખ્યામાં સતત ઘટાડો એ સંકેત આપે છે કે તેને રોકવા માટે કંઈક કરવું પડશે. મહિલાઓને ઉચ્ચ અને ગુણવત્તાયુક્ત શિક્ષણ મેળવવાની અને તેમને સશક્ત બનાવવાની જરૂર છે જેથી તેઓ તેમના અધિકારો માટે લડી શકે. તેમને તેમના જીવનમાં તેમના પોતાના બાળક (છોકરી હોય કે છોકરો) વિશે વિચારવાનો અધિકાર છે અને કોઈને નહીં. તેમને શિક્ષિત કરવાથી સમાજમાંથી આ મુદ્દાને દૂર કરવામાં અને છોકરીઓનું ભવિષ્ય બનાવવામાં ઘણી મદદ મળી શકે છે.

છોકરીને બચાવવાની અસરકારક રીત

છોકરીઓને બચાવવા માટે અહીં કેટલાક અસરકારક પગલાં છે:

સાચું જ કહેવાયું છે કે: જો આપણે છોકરાને ભણાવીએ તો એક વ્યક્તિને શીખવીએ, છોકરીને ભણાવીએ તો આખા કુટુંબને શીખવીએ. આપણા દેશનો વિકાસ પણ મહિલાઓના સહયોગ વિના અશક્ય છે.

ભારતમાં છોકરીઓની સંખ્યા ઘટી રહી છે કારણ કે આપણે લિંગ પૂર્વગ્રહ ધરાવતા સમાજમાં રહીએ છીએ. સ્ત્રી ભ્રૂણહત્યા એ આપણા સમાજ માટે એક સામાન્ય પ્રથા અને અનિષ્ટ છે. આવા મુદ્દાઓ દેશના વિકાસમાં સમસ્યા ઉભી કરે છે. લોકોએ પુત્ર અને પુત્રી વચ્ચે ભેદ ન રાખવો જોઈએ કારણ કે તેમને આ દુનિયામાં રહેવાનો સમાન અધિકાર છે.

સેવ ગર્લ ચાઈલ્ડનો માત્ર ઉપદેશ જ ન આપવો જોઈએ પરંતુ તેનું આચરણ પણ કરવું જોઈએ. છોકરી અને છોકરો બંનેને યોગ્ય શિક્ષણ આપવું જોઈએ જેથી કરીને તેઓ આત્મનિર્ભર અને સ્વતંત્ર બની શકે.

સરકારે 'બેટી બચાવો, બેટી પઢાવો' જેવી ઘણી પહેલ કરી છે. આનો અર્થ છે કે બાળકીને બચાવો, બાળકીને શિક્ષિત કરો. તે સરકાર દ્વારા લેવામાં આવેલી સૌથી તાજેતરની પહેલોમાંની એક છે. આ સિવાય ઘણી NGO કન્યાઓના કલ્યાણ માટે કામ કરી રહી છે.

સમયની જરૂરિયાત એ છે કે સરકારે દીકરીઓ માટે વધુ નીતિઓ બનાવવી જોઈએ જેથી કરીને તેમને હવે બોજ ન ગણવામાં આવે.

તદુપરાંત, લોકોએ કન્યા પ્રત્યેનો તેમનો અભિગમ બદલવો જોઈએ. જો આપણે આપણા દેશને પ્રગતિના પંથે લઈ જવા માંગતા હોય અને વિશ્વના અન્ય દેશો સાથે સ્પર્ધા કરવી હોય તો આપણે બાળકીને બચાવવી જોઈએ.

જેમ આપણે જાણીએ છીએ, છોકરી બાળક એક આશીર્વાદ છે. તેણી તેના જીવનમાં ઘણી ભૂમિકાઓ ભજવે છે. તે પુત્રી, પત્ની, બહેન, મિત્ર વગેરે હોઈ શકે છે. તેણીને સ્તંભ માનવામાં આવે છે જે ઘર ચલાવે છે અને તેમ છતાં તેણીને તે યોગ્ય સન્માન આપવામાં આવતું નથી. 

 

ભારતમાં એવા ઘણા સમાજો છે જ્યાં લિંગ ભેદભાવ હજુ પણ અસ્તિત્વમાં છે. આ સમાજના લોકો અભણ છે અને તેઓ છોકરીઓને છોકરાઓની સમકક્ષ નથી માનતા. આ સમાજોમાં સ્વાભાવિક રીતે, મહિલા અધિકારો માત્ર મજાક છે અને લિંગ ભેદભાવ અને જુલમ ચરમસીમાએ છે. 

 

ભારતમાં, સ્ત્રી ભ્રૂણહત્યા એ ચિંતાજનક પ્રથા છે જ્યાં બાળકીના જન્મ પહેલાં જ તેની હત્યા કરવામાં આવે છે, તેથી જ ભારતમાં જન્મ પહેલાં બાળકનું લિંગ શોધવા પર પ્રતિબંધ છે. જો છોકરી પૂરતી નસીબદાર હોય અને આવા સમાજમાં જન્મ લેવાની મંજૂરી હોય, તો પણ તેણીએ તેના અસ્તિત્વ માટે લડવું પડે છે જ્યાં તેની સાથે ઘણો ભેદભાવ કરવામાં આવે છે. તેણી દલિત છે અને તેણીને તેના પુરૂષ ભાઈ-બહેનોની તુલનામાં યોગ્ય પોષણ પૂરું પાડવામાં આવતું નથી. તેણીને શાળામાં જવાની કોઈ તક આપવામાં આવતી નથી તેના બદલે તેણીને ઘરના કામ કરવા દબાણ કરવામાં આવે છે. જ્યાં સુધી આ અભણ લોકોને સમાજમાંથી દૂર કરવામાં નહીં આવે ત્યાં સુધી જુલમનું આ ચક્ર ચાલુ રહેશે. 

 સ્ત્રી ભ્રૂણહત્યા, બાળલગ્ન, કોઈ મહિલા અધિકાર નથી અને બળાત્કાર એ છોકરીઓ અને સ્ત્રીઓ સામે આચરવામાં આવતા ગુના છે. નેશનલ ક્રાઈમ રેકોર્ડ બ્યુરો (NCRB) ના એક અહેવાલ મુજબ, ભારતમાં 2019 માં દરરોજ બળાત્કારના 88 કેસ નોંધાયા છે. મહિલાઓ અને બાળકીઓની સુરક્ષા એ પ્રશ્નોની શ્રેણી છે જેનો કોઈ ચોક્કસ જવાબ નથી પરંતુ માત્ર બહાના છે.

તેથી, હવે પછીનો પ્રશ્ન જે આખરે દરેકના મનમાં આવે છે તે એ છે કે છોકરીને કેવી રીતે બચાવી શકાય?. ભારત સરકાર છોકરીઓની સલામતી અને ઘટી રહેલા બાળ જાતિ ગુણોત્તરને લઈને પણ ચિંતિત છે અને તેણે બેટી બચાવો બેટી પઢાવો, સુકન્યા સમૃદ્ધિ યોજના, બાલિકા સમૃદ્ધિ યોજના અને માધ્યમિક શિક્ષણ માટે કન્યાઓને પ્રોત્સાહનની રાષ્ટ્રીય યોજનાઓ જેવી વિવિધ યોજનાઓ શરૂ કરી છે. 

 

આ તમામ યોજનાઓનો પ્રાથમિક ઉદ્દેશ્ય છે-

1.   બાળકીને શિક્ષણ મેળવવાની તક પૂરી પાડવામાં આવે તેની ખાતરી કરવી.

2.   પસંદગીના લિંગ-આધારિત ગર્ભપાતના નિવારણ કારણ કે તે દૂરના ગામડાઓમાં મોટા પ્રમાણમાં પ્રતિબદ્ધ છે. 

3.   આ યોજનાઓ બાળકીનું અસ્તિત્વ સુનિશ્ચિત કરે છે અને જ્યારે તે બાળક હોય ત્યારે તેના જીવનની સુરક્ષા પૂરી પાડે છે. 

4.   બાળકીને જીવવા અને વધવા માટે તંદુરસ્ત અને સુરક્ષિત વાતાવરણ પૂરું પાડવું. 

હું મારા ભાષણને એમ કહીને સમાપ્ત કરવા માંગુ છું કે ભારતીય બંધારણના ઘડવૈયા ડૉ. બી.આર. આંબેડકરે એક વખત કહ્યું હતું: "હું સમુદાયની પ્રગતિને મહિલાઓએ પ્રાપ્ત કરેલી પ્રગતિની ડિગ્રીથી માપું છું". જ્યારે બાળકીનો જન્મ થાય ત્યારે આપણે નાના-નાના પગલાં લેવા પડશે અને તેનું રક્ષણ કરવું પડશે. તેણીના જન્મ પછી, તે સુનિશ્ચિત કરવું જોઈએ કે તેણીને યોગ્ય પોષણ અને શિક્ષણ આપવામાં આવે જેથી તેણી તેના સપના સાકાર કરી શકે. બાળકીની ઉજવણી, રક્ષણ અને શિક્ષણ દ્વારા અમે તેને સશક્ત કરીએ છીએ. છેલ્લે આપણે યાદ રાખવું જોઈએ કે જે દેશ મહિલાઓને સશક્ત બનાવે છે તે દરેક વ્યક્તિને સશક્ત બનાવે છે. આભાર!

ભારતમાં એવા ઘણા સમાજો છે જે અશિક્ષિત લોકો દ્વારા સંચાલિત છે જ્યાં લિંગ ભેદભાવ અને છોકરીઓ પર જુલમ હજુ પણ પ્રચલિત છે. આવા સમાજમાં લોકો છોકરીને પુરૂષ બાળકની સમકક્ષ નથી માને છે અને સ્ત્રીઓ માટે મૂળભૂત મહિલા અધિકારોને નકારી કાઢવામાં આવે છે. સ્ત્રી ભ્રૂણ હત્યા એ એક મોટો અપરાધ છે જે છોકરીના જન્મ પહેલાં જ આચરવામાં આવે છે અને જો તેણી પૂરતી નસીબદાર હોય તો તેણીને જન્મ લેવાની મંજૂરી આપવામાં આવે છે છતાં તેણીએ તેના અસ્તિત્વ માટે લડવું પડે છે.

તેણીને સારા પોષણ મૂલ્ય સાથેનો કોઈ ખોરાક આપવામાં આવતો નથી અને તેણી ઉછરે છે ત્યારે તેણીને તેના શિક્ષણના અધિકારની અવગણના કરવામાં આવે છે અને તેના બદલે તેણીને ઘરના કામ કરવા માટે બનાવવામાં આવે છે અને તેણીને ખબર પડે તે પહેલા તેની સાથે બાળ લગ્ન કરવામાં આવે છે. લોકોની માનસિકતા જોઈને મને આશ્ચર્ય થાય છે કે જ્યાં તેઓ છોકરીને નોકર માને છે અને જ્યારે તે મોટી થઈ જાય ત્યારે તેણે માત્ર બાળકો જ પેદા કરવા જોઈએ. જ્યાં સુધી સમાજમાં આવી માનસિકતા ધરાવતા આ અશિક્ષિત લોકો હશે ત્યાં સુધી આ ચક્રનું પુનરાવર્તન થશે. 

ભારત સરકાર છોકરીઓની સુરક્ષા અને ઘટી રહેલા બાળ જાતિ ગુણોત્તરને લઈને પણ ચિંતિત છે અને તેણે બેટી બચાવો બેટી પઢાવો, સુકન્યા સમૃદ્ધિ યોજના, બાલિકા સમૃદ્ધિ યોજના અને માધ્યમિક શિક્ષણ માટે કન્યાઓને પ્રોત્સાહનની રાષ્ટ્રીય યોજનાઓ જેવી વિવિધ યોજનાઓ શરૂ કરી છે. આ બધી યોજનાઓ સુનિશ્ચિત કરે છે કે છોકરીને સારું વાતાવરણ પૂરું પાડવામાં આવે જ્યાં તેણીને ગુણવત્તાયુક્ત શિક્ષણ આપીને તેના સપનાને સાકાર કરવા માટે પ્રેમ, સંભાળ અને પ્રેરિત કરવામાં આવે.

માત્ર એક છોકરીની ઉજવણી, રક્ષણ અને શિક્ષણ દ્વારા જ આપણે તેને સશક્ત બનાવી શકીએ છીએ. આ જાગરૂકતા ફેલાવીને અને લોકોની માનસિકતા બદલીને કરી શકાય છે જેથી તેઓ જ્યારે બાળકનો જન્મ થાય ત્યારે ખુશીથી તેનું સ્વાગત કરે. તમામ છોકરીઓને શિક્ષણ આપવું અને આગળ ભણવા માટે પ્રોત્સાહિત કરવું જેથી તેઓ દેશના વિકાસમાં યોગદાન આપી શકે. છેલ્લું પરંતુ ઓછામાં ઓછું એ છે કે તેમની સામેની હિંસાનો વિરોધ કરતી મહિલાઓને ટેકો આપવો અને તમામ મહિલાઓ માટે સલામત વાતાવરણ ઊભું કરવું જ્યાં તેઓ ઘરમાં અનુભવે છે. આભાર!

બેટી બચાવો બેટી પઢાવો એ રાષ્ટ્રીય સરકારનો કાર્યક્રમ છે જે બાળકીઓના કલ્યાણ માટે ચાલી રહ્યો છે, આ કાર્યક્રમો સમગ્ર દેશમાં કાર્યરત છે. આ કાર્યક્રમનો મુખ્ય હેતુ બાળકીઓને સામાજિક અન્યાય અને ગર્ભપાત જેવી બિમારીથી બચાવવાનો અને સમગ્ર દેશમાં છોકરીઓના શિક્ષણને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવાનો છે.

 

કન્યા કલ્યાણ કાર્યક્રમના મુખ્ય ઉદ્દેશ્યોમાં નીચેનાનો સમાવેશ થાય છે:

• લિંગ પૂર્વગ્રહો પર ગર્ભપાત પર પ્રતિબંધ અને નિવારણ.
• આ પ્રોગ્રામ નાની ઉંમરે બાળકીનું અસ્તિત્વ અને રક્ષણ સુનિશ્ચિત કરે છે.
• આ કાર્યક્રમ તમામ પ્રવૃત્તિઓમાં બાળકીનું શિક્ષણ અને સંડોવણી સુનિશ્ચિત કરે છે.

 

સુકન્યા સમૃદ્ધિ યોજના

સુકન્યા સમૃદ્ધિ યોજના એ એક ખાસ સરકાર દ્વારા પ્રાયોજિત બચત કાર્યક્રમ છે જેમાં પ્રાથમિક બેંક એકાઉન્ટ મેનેજર તરીકે એક બાળકીનો સમાવેશ થાય છે જ્યારે માતાપિતા / કાનૂની વાલી સંયુક્ત રીતે બેંક એકાઉન્ટનું સંચાલન કરે છે. શિશુ અગિયાર વર્ષનું થાય તે પહેલાં માતા-પિતા આ ખાતું ખોલાવી શકે છે અને ખાતું ખોલ્યાના પંદર વર્ષ પછી ચૂકવવું આવશ્યક છે.

 

સુકન્યા સમૃદ્ધિ યોજના ખાતામાં રોકાણ કરવાની કેટલીક મુખ્ય વિશેષતાઓ અને લાભો નીચે મુજબ છે:

• આ સરકારી સ્કીમ રૂ. જેટલી ઓછી પ્રારંભિક થાપણો સાથે લવચીક ડિપોઝિટ વિકલ્પો પ્રદાન કરે છે. 1000 સુધી રૂ. 1.5 લાખ પ્રતિ વર્ષ.

બાલિકા સમૃદ્ધિ યોજના એ એક શૈક્ષણિક કાર્યક્રમ છે જે ગરીબી રેખા નીચે જીવતી યુવતીઓ અને તેમની માતાઓને આર્થિક સહાય પૂરી પાડવા માટે રચાયેલ છે. આ કાર્યક્રમનો મુખ્ય ઉદ્દેશ તેમની સામાજિક સ્થિતિને ઉન્નત કરવાનો છે, છોકરીઓના લગ્નની ઉંમરને આગળ ધપાવવાનો છે જે ખૂબ જ નાની ઉંમરે કરવામાં આવે છે અને શાળાઓમાં કન્યાઓની નોંધણી અને જાળવી રાખવાનો છે.

 

બાલિકા સમૃદ્ધિ યોજનાની વિશેષતાઓ અને લાભો

• છોકરીઓના લાભ માટેનો આ કાર્યક્રમ શહેરો અને ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારોમાં ઉપલબ્ધ છે.
• બાળકના જન્મ બાદ બાળકીની માતાને રૂ.ની ભેટ આપવામાં આવે છે. 500.
• એક છોકરી રૂ.માં વાર્ષિક શિષ્યવૃત્તિ મેળવી શકે છે. 300 થી રૂ. 1000, જ્યારે તેણી શાળાએ જવાનું શરૂ કરે છે,
• જ્યારે છોકરી 18 વર્ષની થઈ જાય અથવા અપરિણીત હોય ત્યારે સરકાર બાકીની રકમ ઉપાડવાની મંજૂરી આપે છે.  

 

CBSE ઉડાન યોજના

CBSE ઉડાન ગર્લ્સ પ્રોગ્રામ કેન્દ્રીય શિક્ષણ બોર્ડ દ્વારા માનવ સંસાધન વિકાસ વિભાગ, ભારત સરકાર દ્વારા ચલાવવામાં આવે છે. આ કાર્યક્રમનો હેતુ ભારતભરની પ્રતિષ્ઠિત એન્જિનિયરિંગ અને ટેકનિકલ કોલેજોમાં છોકરીઓની નોંધણી વધારવાનો છે.

Indeed, girls are a pillar of society. A little girl's child can be a good daughter, a good sister, a good friend, a good wife, or a mother in the future.

Now-a-days, women are working in the field with men on their shoulders along with their responsibilities all over the house.

Once, the Prime Minister of India said in his speech that he is a beggar in front of us. He has launched a scheme BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO. This campaign was initiated with the intention of spreading awareness among the women against female empowerment through female feticide as well as education. These words our Prime Minister said: -

"The Prime Minister of the country is demanding that you save the life of the child"

A girl is one who plays many roles in our life. She is our mother, our sister, our wife, our grandmother and many more. It is the reason of life, because of that we are in this world. Before a sister, a mother, a wife, she is a girl and if you are saving a girl you are saving your world. This world of Homo sapiens is due to it only. It is not your demand, but it needs your help.

There is no area left where women have not achieved success. They are flying day by day. He has done all those things that seem impossible for men too. India's women are touching the seventh heaven these days. Sakshi Malik, Avni Chaturvedi, Indira Gandhi, Sarojini Naidu, Anna Malhotra, Kiran Bedi are some examples of this. All these examples proved that the girl does not have a week. It is our society who is trying to show her weakness.

India is a country where women are worshiped as a good and the highest rate of crime against women in the same country. Some crimes of sexual harassment rape killing dowry etc.

This society can be due to superstitions in our society. But it must stop. To prevent this, the government should increase more policies.

In Indian society, girls are considered curse from ancient times. If we think with our heart, then the question arises, how can this be a curse for girls? The answer is very clear and filled with the fact that without a girl, the child of the child can never be born in this world. Then why do people again carry out a lot of violence with women and girls. Why do they want to kill the girls before they are born in their mother's womb? Why do people rape or sexual harassment of girls at home, public places, schools or workplace? Why a girl is attacked with acid and why a girl becomes a victim of the cruelty of various men.

It is very clear that a child always becomes a blessing for the cause of society and the continuation of life in this world. We worship many women gods and goddesses on various festivals, but never feel kindly towards women living in our house. In truth, girls are pillars of society. A little girl can have a good daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother and other good relationships in the future. If we kill them before we are born or do not care after birth then how will we get our daughter, sister, wife or mother in the future? Have any of us ever thought that if the women refuse to get pregnant then the child will give birth or the entire responsibility of their motherhood will be given to men. Are men capable of doing all such responsibilities? if not; Why then girls are killed, why they are considered a curse, why they are burdened with their parents or society. Why do not people's eyes are being opened even after the facts and facts which have surprised many girls about them?

Now, one day, women are working on the ground with men on their shoulders with their responsibilities all over the house. It is a great shame for us that girls are still victims of many violence even as they have changed themselves to survive in this modern world. We should actively participate in the campaign to save the girl child by removing the male-dominated nature of society. In India, men considered themselves more dominant and feminine than women, which gives rise to violence against girls. To protect girls, parents need to change their mind firstly. They need to stop them from neglecting their daughter's nutrition, education, lifestyle, etc. They need to consider their children whether they are girls or boys. It is a positive thinking of parents towards girls who can change the entire society in India. They should raise their voice against criminal doctors who have killed innocent girls in the womb even before their birth to get some money. All those rules and regulations should be strict and active, which are involved in crimes against girls (whether they are parents, doctors, relatives, neighbors, etc.). Only then can we think and hope about a good future in India. Women also need to be strong and raise voice. They should learn from great women leaders like Sarojini Naidu, Indira Gandhi, Kalpana Chawla, Sunita Williams etc in India. Without women, everything in this world is incomplete like man, home and a world itself. So, it is my humble request to all of you that please include yourself in saving the girls.

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has said in his speech to the girls that "you are standing before as beggar". He has started a nationwide campaign called "Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao" (save the country and educate the girl). This campaign started with the spread of awareness among the women against female feticide and women empowerment through education. Here's what our Prime Minister said in his speech:

• "Prime Minister of the country is begging you to save the lives of girls".

I would like to give a speech to spread awareness about the importance of girls in my life on this subject. To overcome the practice of cruelty towards girls in Indian society, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started a campaign called "Beti Bachao - Beti Padhao". This is a campaign to spread awareness about saving and educating girls in our home and society. In our country, the curtailing of girls is a big challenge for us to have a future sex ratio. I am very grateful to my class teacher for giving such a great opportunity to give a speech on this important topic. Save the Girl Child is a big social awareness program launched by the Indian government to attract the human mind to save girl child. The situation of women and girls in India is very clear for all of us. It is no more hidden that how girls from our society and country are disappearing from day to day Compared to men, their percentage is decreasing, which is a very serious issue. The declining number of girls is dangerous for the society and it makes the life continuity suspicious on earth. In order to promote the Save Girl Child campaign, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has launched another campaign called "Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao" (This means that save and educate girl).

India is a fast growing country in every sphere. It has been booming in the field of economy, research, technologies and infrastructure. Despite the progress of such a witness in the country, the girl violence is still going on again. It has made its root so deep that is causing the problem to completely exit the society. Violence Again the girl's child is very dangerous social evil. The cause of feticide is technical improvement in the country such as ultrasound, gender determination test, scan test and amniocentesis, genetic abnormalities, etc. All such techniques have given way to various rich, poor and middle class families to detect fetal gender. Generally we are proud to be all Indians but how, in view of the abortion of girls and other violence against them. I think, we have the right to say proud to be an Indian, when we respect girls and save them. We must realize our obligations to be an Indian citizen and to prevent this bad crime better.

Girls are the cornerstone of the house. It is impossible to imagine a life without a girl. For example, a girl has to live many characters in society, she lives the life of a daughter, she becomes a very obedient and submissive wife, while she becomes an excellent sister or a mother. It would not be wrong to say that there are many stages in a girl's life. But many people think that their existence is a major curse in male-dominated society. They are treated unfairly by some dirty and narrow minded people.

People have forgotten that they are going to give an heir, a son, to take his family to the next generation. In other words, the whole life depends on a girl.

In some states, like Haryana and Rajasthan, there are many women in whose womb the baby is aborted, before any girl can come into the world. He has a mandatory contribution towards getting information about the number of families.

People need to open their eyes to think of the girl being curse for her family.

Given the increasing number of female feticide, the Prime Minister has come up with an initiative in which the girls have been guaranteed security. This initiative will keep them safe for a greater extent.

Those who are not in a position to send their girl to school, the government gives the privilege of education. There are some who support the school with great effort and happiness.

The Save girl child theme has been focused on the whole of India so that the overall social and economic condition of women can be improved. Some initiatives have been initiated by the Central or State Government to save girl child:

• In order to safeguard the girl child, a Ladli scheme was launched by the Delhi and Haryana Government in 2008 and it was implemented. The objective of this scheme was to improve the status of girls through education and gender equality as well as control of female feticide.
• The Sabla plan, launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2011, is aimed at empowering teenage girls through education.
• Dhanalakshmi Scheme was launched in 2008 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, which was meant to provide cash transfers to the families of the girl child after birth, registration and vaccination.
• Kishori Shakti Yojana was launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development with the aim of improving the nutrition and health status of the girls.
• The Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana was started by the family to ensure equal stake for a girl child.
• Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (Beti Bachao and Beti Teach Me) means the scheme was started for the welfare of women in 2015.

Girl storing in relation to saving girls across the country today is one of the most important social awareness issues. There are many effective measures in which a girl can be saved to a great extent. There is a large level of poverty in the society, which is the main reason for illiteracy and gender inequality in Indian society. Thus, education is an essential element in reducing poverty and gender discrimination in Indian society and improving the situation of girls and women. According to statistics, female literacy in Odisha is continuously decreasing, where there is no equal access to girls' education and other activities.

Education is deeply related to employment. Poor education means low-level employment which leads to poverty and gender inequality in society. Education is the most effective way of improving their status by making women economically independent. In order to ensure equal rights and opportunities for women in the society, the government is taking steps to protect the girls and boys. Bollywood actor (Parineeti Chopra) was an official ambassador for the brand of recent PM pattern to save the girl (Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao).

Effective way to save girl

Here are several effective steps to save girls:

• Due to the excessive desire of the parents for the child, the condition of the girls in Indian society has delayed the age. It created gender inequality in the society and was very necessary to suppress it while bringing gender equality.
• Excessive poverty in society has created social evil against women as a dowry system, which enhances the status of women. Parents usually think that girls are spending money only, which is why girls are killed in various ways (female feticide, dowry death, etc.) before and after birth. Such problems should be terminated immediately to save girls.
• Illiteracy is another problem that can be eliminated by a suitable educational system for both sexes.
• Empowering women to save girls is the most effective tool.
• People should be aware of effective campaigns about saving girls.

Such issues create problems in the development of the country. People should not differentiate between a son and a daughter because they have equal rights to live in this world.

Save girl child should not only be preached but should be practised as well. Proper education should be given to both a girl child and a boy child so that they can become self-sufficient and independent.

The government has taken many initiatives such as ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’. This means to save the girl child, educate the girl child. It is one of the most recent initiatives taken by the government. Apart from this many NGOs are working for the welfare of the girl child.

The need of the hour is that the government should make more policies for the girl child so that they are not considered as a burden anymore.

Moreover, people should change their attitude regarding the girl child. If we want to take our country on the path of progress and compete with other countries in the world, we should save the girl child.

Even if the girl child is lucky enough and allowed to born in such societies, she has to fight for her survival where a lot of discrimination is done against her. She is oppressed and not provided with proper nutrition compared to her male siblings. She is not given any opportunity to attend school instead she is forced to do household work. This cycle of oppression will continue as long as these uneducated people are not removed from society. 

 Female foeticide, child marriage, no women’s rights, and rapes are the crimes committed against girls and women. According to a report by the National crime record bureau(NCRB), India recorded 88 rape cases every day in 2019. The security of women and girl children is a series of questions which doesn’t seem to have a definite answer but only excuses.

So, the next question that eventually comes to everyone’s mind is how a girl child is saved?. The government of India is also concerned with girls’ safety and the declining child sex ratio and has launched various schemes like Beti Bachao Beti padhao, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Balika Samriddha Yojana, and national schemes of incentives to girls for secondary education. 

 

The Primary Aim of All These Schemes is-

1.   Ensuring a girl child is provided with an opportunity to get an education.

2.   Preventions of selective gender-based abortions as it is vastly committed in remote villages. 

3.   The schemes ensure the survival of a girl child and provide security to her life when she is an infant. 

4.   To provide a girl child a healthy and secure environment to live and grow. 

I want to conclude my speech by saying that Dr BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian constitution once said: “I measure the progress of the community by the degree of progress which women have achieved”. We have to take small steps and protect the girl child when she is born. After her birth, it should be ensured that she is provided with proper nutrition and education so that she realizes her dreams. By celebrating, protecting, and educating the girl child we empower her. Last but not least we should remember that a country that empowers women empowers every individual. Thank you!

No food with good nutrition value is provided to her and she grows she is ignored of her right to education and instead she is made to do household chores and before she knows a child marriage is done to her. It surprises me to see the people’s mindset where they consider a girl child to be a servant and when she is old enough she should only produce children. This cycle will repeat as long as there are these uneducated people in society who have such a mindset. 

The government of India is also concerned with girls’ safety and the declining child sex ratio and has launched various schemes like Beti Bachao Beti padhao, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Balika Samriddha Yojana, and national schemes of incentives to girls for secondary education. All these schemes ensure that a girl child is provided with a good environment where she is loved, cared and motivated to achieve her dreams by providing her quality education. 

I want to conclude my speech by saying that Dr. BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian constitution once said: “I measure the progress of the community by the degree of progress which women have achieved”. We have to take a small step towards a new India where a girl child is protected from the moment she is born. She should be loved and cared for by the people around her. 

Only by celebrating, protecting, and educating a girl child, we could empower her. This could be done by spreading awareness and changing the mindset of people so that they should welcome a girl child with happiness when she is born. Providing education to all girls and encouraging them to study further so that they could contribute to the growth of the country. Last but not least is to support the women who oppose the violence against them and to create a safe environment for all the women where they feel at home. Thank you!

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is a national government program running for the welfare of girl children, these programs operate across the country. The main purpose of the program is to save the girl child from social unfairness and sick practices such as abortion and to give a push to the education of girls throughout the country.

• Prohibition and Prevention of abortions on the gender biases.

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is a special government-sponsored savings program that includes a girl child as the primary bank account manager while the parent / legal guardian jointly manages the bank account. A parent can open this account before the infant is eleven years old and must be paid fifteen years after opening the account.

CBSE Udaan Scheme

The CBSE Udaan Girls Program is run by the Central Education Board by the Department of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The program aims to increase the enrollment of girls in prestigious engineering and technical colleges throughout India.
